I clearly was not reading ahead. My concern in session 2 about finding material was addressed in session 3.
ReplyDeleteWe had daily devotions last week during the leadership team meetings. The message was coming to Jesus as a child (tied to child protection). Our facilitator was very good at bringing forth the love of Christ for each one of us. I could use some of the scriptures she shared to remind us of who we are serving.
Looking at actual commissioning liturgy that has been used in worship would help to frame that portion of the meetings as well.
Songs are often impactful and writing down the message as it strikes me would allow for sharing later.
Great illustration of the impact of devotions in your context. That is definitely a source of material that can impact our discussion of ministry business.
ReplyDeleteI'll work on getting you all an outline of the Presbyterian commissioning liturgy.
The rest of y'all...any recent worship experiences that might tie in to your ministry leadership?
